I'm using the Breadman Pro and I really like it. Here's a link.

Even with heavier stuff and whole grain it seems to work alright. It has a "Jam" program which I never used, but always wanted to experiment with. It's great for pizza dough, too.

I have been itching to purchase a breadmaker for some time now. I used to make my own bread, but by hand *back in the day.. but I think I do want to try it out with the breadmaker now.

Any suggestions or ones to stay away from?

Oh...good thread. I've been wanting to buy one for awhile too. :)

I saw one the other day with a cute little solar panel on it. Of course then you could only make bread outside and on sunny days.

We have a Breadman Pro as well and absolutely love it. I would recommend it any day of the week!

me... I usally only use mine for dough... I am not crazy about the texture of the bread if I bake it in the machine.. so I usually just throw everything in the bread machine and choose the dough setting and then when it is done I put it in a bread pan and rise and bake it.. mm yum
