I sent my application to VSC in September 07, and did my Biometrics in November 07. But my status never changed online.

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Case received and pending.

On October 3, 2007, we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case. Please follow any instructions on this notice. We will notify you by mail when we make a decision or if we need something from you. If you move while this case is pending, call customer service. We process cases in the order we receive them. You can use our processing dates to estimate when yours will be done. This case is at our VERMONT SERVICE CENTER location. Follow the link below to check processing dates. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

Is this normal? Or I should be worried about it?

Thanks a lot,

Thank you, Ree. Hope we all have better luck!

BTW, what's 'touched' meaning?

If you had the biometrics completed, then your case should show a touch a day or two later. A touch is a change in date on your case file. You can see this if you sign up for email notification. You need to use the case number on your biometrics interview notice. Once you set that up you can check the status daily to see if the date has changed. My wife had her biometrics on May 21, 2008. We got a touch on May 22. Since then nothing.

And yes, we still have the same notice posted in their original letter. In these cases, I don't believe you will see any notice changes until it has either been approved or they are requesting additional information.

can I just add something guys,

I got the same "notice" online when I checked my status a few days ago, which was reassuring. However it says in the notice "we received this CRI89 PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED, and mailed you a notice describing how we will process your case" but I never received this confirmation in the post like they said.

Is that normal? I did submit a change of address a few months, and distinctly remember seeing my current address coming up on the screen in my biometrics appointment. But now I'm wondering do they have the correct address?

let me know if you guys got a notice in the post

regards

Paul
