Ok Steve y Jessica, we'll pick you up on the way down. Are you off of the 320th exit?

Renatchi: Let us know if you make it here by the time we get this thing going. If not, your SO is welcome to join us anyways.

Ah, so you know the Federal Way area. Exactly, the 320th exit. I'll just stand there with my thumb out! And by then, my wife should be here, we are just waitng for her interview date. So you would just look for the man with his thumb out and a pregnant peruvian woman.

I am in Bellingham, about 90 min. north of Seattle. Tacoma would be a bit far for me, Seattle has some great hot spots like Greenlake, Gasworks, and Golden Gardens ! Check this out for an indoor Meet and Greet Marrakesh in Seattle

I want to come!

When are you meeting?

I guess I could be there by September and my husband's from Portland, OR!

OK, woot to everyone who wants to meet up!!!!

Henna Rose, I wonder if you can drive to Seattle and then carpool with one of us? We have quite a few people from the south end and Portland area which is why we were thinking Tacoma.

Also, how many of our Seattle/Tacoma area friends celebrate Ramadan? If meeting in September interferes with this, we can always make a change....

I'm so excited! This is taking my mind off the fact that my wedding is fast approaching and I still have a million things to do for work before the new school year starts :)

Hi guys.. .. I dont want you to feel that you will need to make it Tacoma.. due to myself being from Portland.. .. not speaking for any others that are here in this area... but.. Seattle isnt that much further once you make the trip..

Of course it would be nice.. but.. if it ieas easier for others to keep it Seattle.. Im game. I dont know what park it is.. but .. as a kid.. (I grew up in Bothell) there was a big park. that had a big totem pole .. .. dont remember.. Discovery Park? or maybe it was Point Defiance park in Tacoma..

too many choices...

caring isn't caring unless the other person knows;

sharing isn't sharing unless the other person is included

Ok Steve, duly noted. I usually don't pick up hitchhikers but I'll make an excception for you. :P I lived in the Twin Lakes area when I first left home.

I'm ok with either TAcoma or Seattle. Does seem that we have more north folks (bellingham and anacortes) than portland if I am keeping people straight. Parks/outdoor things might be a bit tricky in Sept since that is when the fall weather starts to set in. I have heard good things about the marakesh restaurant if that sparks interst with anyone. My daughter is going to show me some spots in TAcoma today but did mention a couple of good cafe type places with a variety of food (one has the best garlic fries around). HOw many of you would need to make it a later evening affair to accomodate Ramadan? Or when does Ramadan end? I should know these things

I'm not sure I'm going to be in the US in September. But if I am, sure why not. :)

OK keep checking back for updates.

Shall we start with a date so we can get this scheduled? Is there anyone who cannot make it during the month of september because of Ramadan? If so, can we do last weekend in Aug or first weekend in Oct?

Federal Way= Wild Waves.......I love that place!!!

Not the boundaries drawn on maps,

With the names of powerful men.

That's all I've wanted -

To walk in such a place with you,

On an earth without maps."

For me, both the last weekend in August and the first weekend in October are out. Our international student comes that last weekend and the first in October is my daughter's birthday. But if everyone else can make those dates, then go for it!

I vote for inside though and any time of day works for me as long as it's a weekend.
