The restaurant looks like it kind of sucks so I think we will pass.

Bumping details of the event to new page for any newbies that show up.

Olivia: Thanks for taking the time to type this all up.

The City: Seattle

The Meet: Marrakesh in Seattle

The Date: Saturday September 13, 2008

The Time: 8:15pm

The Nominated Mistress Organizer of the Event: Maggie724

For over 20 people: They want a $100 non refundable deposit in case we don't show. We can cancel up to 48hrs ahead.

Donations for the cause would be great too. To be given back at the dinner, by Maggie724.

It's an entire meal/entertainment experience. Make sure you take a look at the website in advance so you know how the menu is set up and pricing. The menu includes appetizer, main dish, soup I think and a dessert/mint tea for one price. I'm not sure about doing anything a la carte. It is not far from downtown Seattle so those of you that are touring around, we can see if there's anything we all want to do and maybe meet up early.

Day Tours some people are going on: Pikes Place, Space Needle, Underground Tour, Duck Tour. (Anyone interested in Duck Tour let me know. If we have at least 10 I can pre-buy tickets for a specific tour time.)

The List (cut and past to add your name)

(4) Maggie+dh, ds (19) and dd (22)

HMMM now a question from my daughter...

she wants to know if there are any "cute" boys..? shes 16 hahaha.. disnerland237.jpg

I told her not to worry.. no one will bite.. I think she is just wanting to make sure she isnt the only teenager there.. lol which I told her she wont be..

Jan,

My son is 17 (and cute!) and our International student is 16 (from Germany) and both will be there.

Seattle! or Bremerton here. And haven't sent in my petition yet though =/

No worries! Sign up to join us!!!!

OK, I had no idea when I started this thread that it would grow so big!!!!!

I have to say also that at first I was a bit worried about the menu, because quite honestly there's nothing on there that my kids will really like, but we're adventurous people. And, we're coming more to meet people and put faces to names and have a chance to share with others who KNOW our experience firsthand. The kids can always eat before we come :)

Secondly, a huge thanks to Maggie for organizing this. Though I was hoping to get a gathering started, there's absolutely no way I could have organized this, planned and celebrated my wedding, gone on my honeymoon and gotten prepared for school to start too. THANK YOU MAGGIE!!!

Finally: please add 1 to the Jen + Patrick count as I will have my daughter that night, plus my son and host-son. So 5 for us total.

Also, my daughter has a soccer game that day and I have to attend a conference that day until 2 pm because I'm leading a study tour to Ireland in 2010 and I have to go to a group leader meeting with the educational tour company. I doubt that Patrick and I will be able to join any of the activities earlier. I think we'll just meet for dinner.

Yay!

Bad news guys. I went to get my ticket this morning and they jumped by $40 each ways! That's an additional $80 I wasn't planning to pay. So then I went into my email to retrieve my Alaskan Airlines number and see if my miles would get me any sort of discount and there was an email from the Director for my Video Production Crew I'm on giving us our schedule to work and I have to film a home game on the 13th! football schedule Plus I was a little bit nervous about making the trip when I don't know what my course load looks like yet and if I'm going to have other productions to work on besides the games during that time.

Sorry but I can't go! :crying: It would have been fun and I'm glad I didn't get my money until today because I haven't made the deposit on the reservation yet for the restaurant.

Well we are down to the final three weeks. Sorry you can't make it Olivia. We'll post pics. One person here is sending a check for their portion so I can take care of the rest of the deposit.
