Not sure how late you are planning to come here but I could meet anytime after 5pm on the weekdays and not sure about Saturday right now. If those times don't work for you that is totally fine...don't rearrange things just for my sake.

As for the meetup...who all is planning on staying overnight in Seattle?

Yardie: As the time gets closer we will make plans for Saturday daytime. Kind of depends on what time Olivia arrives in town (since I am providing her official gate escort). You and anyone else is welcome to join us. Would like to know who is interested to meet up and toodle around together before dinner.

just looked online... seems it will only cost me $90 to do Amtrak from Portland to Seattle..

also it is just a short distance from where we will be. Been looking at locations of Hotels... around 5th or 6th or 2nd ave... any suggestions?

Gonna call amtrack they sometimes have specials train and hotel.. .. if i can find a deal .. it would be worth doing train.. and simply finding way to restaurant..

See what you can figure in regards to train and hotel. I"m sure we can meet up at some point for the toodling and then you and your dtr can ride with us. Even if Dorothy is along I can fit you both in my car.

I've always wanted to do the underground tour & space needle for as many times as I've been to Seattle I still have yet to do that. I've been to Pikes Place and I like watching the fish market and exploring all the kewl little shops there. I really Seattle!

Found a few more potentials to join us and asked them to come add their name to the list if the decide to join us. We are looking at having quite the fun next month. Can't wait. Ok peeps so now that we have this event all set up, and there seems to not be a need for posting (other than to attack my coffee drinking habits ) this thread is slipping to page 4 and beyond. So shall we just let it go and start a new thread about a week ahead of time or what? Oh and I didn't hear but from 2 people about the deposit. Anyone else able to help out with that? Even if 2 more of you could do $20 each that would cover it with what I and 2 others are putting in.
