Touches....?

Hey guys. Curious to know...if you sign up for the USCIS email updates, do you get them when there is a "touch" to your file, or do they only send emails if there is a major change to your status?

Some people get notification emails when there is a status change, you dont get emails for touches, at least not from I heard. Some people dont even get emails even though they are signed up for them, they just get approvals and their online status wasn't changed.

normal touches do not prompt an e-mail to be sent out. Like Ilya stated, if there is a change in status, like and RFE or an approval, that is when an e-mail is sent out. Other than that, they can touch your case everyday and not change the status and there will be no e-mail sent out.

I use to check my email all the time...but checking it everyday for the past 2 1/2 month has made me an " email checking addict". So what i have done is sent my email up so that it sends a notification to my cellphone if i get an email from USCIS. Now i dont check it that much anymore. it works pretty well for me too.
