I checked Travelocity and they did not have any flights from Manila to Kansas City.

I bought my ticket on Travelocity from Kansas City to Manila when I visited Carol

in November. Carol got her Visa delivered on Saturday and we need to buy her airline

tickets. The Travel agent in General Santos said she had to buy the ticket in Manila to

the United States. Is this true ? Where can I buy the tickets for her here in the US. Can

Carol buy the tickets in General Santos if I send her the money? Please help.

Thanks,

Carol and Richie

My then-fiancee (husband now) sent me the money and I was able to buy my ticket in Manila though I was in davao. Buying ticket in Davao is cheaper i guess than buying it on-line. After the agency confirm to me all the details I was able to check it on-line through NWA since they booked me on that airline. The agency's name is WINLINK and u may contact ANGELO with this number if you are interested : +639204370012

Goodluck.

shaun bought my ticket online from onetravel.com. and he just sent me the email receipt in my email add. I presented the printed email receipt (e-ticket) to the NAIA pips and they honored it - no problem at all. i flew from manila to kansas city (stopover japan for 2 hours).

I booked the flight with United but did not pay yet. Cathay airline said Carol will have to pick up her

ticket at the Cathay ticket office in Makati. She could not pick up her ticket at NAIA. I am still trying

to find an easier way.

I checked NWA airline also. They want $500 for me to fly round trip to meet her in Minneapolis to fly

home with her to Kansas City. For me to fly round trip to meet her in Chicago with United is $230

dollars. But Cathay wants her to pick up her tickets in Makati.

There has to be an easier way. Did you pick up your tickets with NWA at the ticket office at NAIA.

Thanks

Richie

my fiance bought tickets for me and my two kids direct through nwa website. they said it is ok if i won't show his credit card as long as we have proper identification. I have printed the receipts and flight summary from the nwa website and have chosen seat also from the site.

Prior to booking tickets online, I did scout prices from local travel agents and they proved to be a few dollars cheaper than booking online. The only catch was most local travel agents don't accept debit cards thus, i would need to withdraw from the debit card in order to pay them in cash which would then incur huge bank charges (my debit card is my fiance's which was opened in the US--there is $3dollar charge for every 10,000 pesos withdrawal). It would have been ok if we would be getting only one ticket but since we need to book for 3, the bank charges would just level off any savings we would get from booking through local travel agent.

i hope you would be able to find the perfect site or local travel agent soon. God bless always.

The travel agent your wife was talking to does not seemed informed.

My wife is also from General Santos. There's a travel agency your wife can use called TravelPlus located at KCC mall (third floor). We've used this travel agency many times and they are very knowledgable and helpfull.

I like orbitz.com. You can get really good price and buy ticket for anybody, all they have to do is show up at the airport and check in with the ID.
