I guess there are some really responsible people who only smoke weed? I know they must exist since we hear about them.

It's because they don't stand out as "druggies". You probably know several of these people.

I know that(about not being able to tell)...there have been people I didn't know smoked pot and then found out. And there are also people who I found out were addicted to cocaine and I couldn't tell either since I didn't see them everyday.

errr... I don't actually have any questions about pot... LOL

Yeah actually even though this is going to get rolled eyes or boos by some, most of the people I know who smoked weed ended up on other drugs too. Meth and cocaine primarily. I guess there are some who stay strictly to weed. The people I knew/know hang out with people who do all these drugs. They all influence each other. They aren't responsible people sitting around discussing politics or intellectual things. They don't just go to weed parties and say "oh this is all we will do, no other drugs...". I guess there are some really responsible people who only smoke weed? I know they must exist since we hear about them. For medical use I understand, they probably don't want to move on to stronger things if they just want the "relaxed" feeling. I haven't known anyone who smoked weed who only did that drug and didn't either experiment with more or move on and get severely addicted to the drugs I mentioned. Some were very close friends. If people want to pretend that doesn't happen, fine. I will say ok there are people who only smoke pot for a nice feeling, but those I have known or known of didn't just smoke pot. That was their weak drug of choice.

Too bad you've known addicts. Anyone I've ever known who has used pot on occasion has held down responsible jobs, some really high level ones at that, have well adjusted lives and have not become junkies. They don't carry their stuff around for a toke in the restroom, they don't spend the grocery money on their daily fix, and they don't go to weed parties... LOL Hell, they don't even do it everyday, like many people who drink.

I haven't known anyone who smoked weed who only did that drug and didn't either experiment with more or move on and get severely addicted to the drugs I mentioned. Some were very close friends. If people want to pretend that doesn't happen, fine. I will say ok there are people who only smoke pot for a nice feeling, but those I have known or known of didn't just smoke pot. That was their weak drug of choice.

yes kind of.. but no one said that smoking weed leads to hard drugs... I just pointed out that someone with addictive tendencies might try weed and that might lead to harder drugs.. and yes I know that person might become an addict anyways but I think that weed is probably more readily available then heroin or whatever... I can't really see a suburban kid going hey I think I want to try some heroin today ... they usually start off with weed..
