MSC/NBC has my documents since May 9. I had biometrics apoointment on June 4. However, I have discovered today that the person who did our application did not include I-864 affidavit of support with it. MSC still did not notify me that it missing.I am ready to send it tomorrow with proper tax documents. I was wondering should I send it to Chicago lockbox and will they accept it now? I submitted I-130, I-131, I-765 and I-485 all together. I am worrying that they will misplace my I-864 if I sent it separately? Did anybody have I-864 requested as an additional evidence and in that case, was their I-131 (advance parole) delayed?

Thanks,

Yeah, better send it when you receive an RFE for it. Since you say you have everything ready, you can send it the next day and it shouldn't delay your case.

Yes, don't send it off until they send you an RFE. There is no guarantee it will ever be matched up with your file otherwise. Since you have everything ready to go, once they realize that the I-864 is missing they will send you the RFE. You return that RFE letter with the document and they will resume processing. It will only be a delay of a week or so for you.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Agreed with the others. Your file is now on a shelve with hundreds of other files received at the Chicago lockbox. If you send the info now, they will not be able to add it to your file. Wait till your file is safe on the desk of an adjudicator, then they will send the RFE. As soon as you send in the RFE, they will immediately match it up with your file and approve the case. So sit tight with all the info ready to send.

Well if a long long time passes and no movement on the case, I would first call USCIS to see if they have any info, then make Infopass. Usually you can gauge movement on the case when the AP and EAD is approved, which is usually within 2-3 months after filing for AOS.

Thanks! I hope that missing I-864 won't delay my AP document.
