Hi all,

Which way did you use to send your medical result or other RFE to USCIS? Which way do you prefere to send your doc. to USCIS?

I am having bad experience with USPS:

I used USPS to send mine and my daughter's by certified mail on June 11, until now USPS web still shows MISSENT on 06/20 and they have CORRECTED the error and would do every effort to send mine ASAP. Normally it takes 2 -3 days to Lee's summit, MO, but my mail is gone for almost 20 days!

I called the USPS customer service many times and went the post office many times try to locate my mail, but no one can help me. I am afraid someone stolen my mail with my important information: SSN, etc.

I had to ask the doctor give me another report, and had to use USPS (Even I am so upset with it and really do not want to use it as FedEX does delivery mail to PO Box), sent by express mail last week, but I just found out the doctor did miss check one vacc on my daughter's report (He did correctly on the first report), so I have to go back to the doctor for the third one.

So which way do you suggest to use?

Thank you,

Thank you,

I would suggest USPS "priority mail with delivery confirmation". Certified mail is overkill and may be the source of your problem. Make certain the address is the one shown on your RFE.

If it is of any help, my Dad used certified mail to send my passport application and other documentation back to me from Canada (he was the guarantor). When the package didn't show up in a timely way, I tracked it online to the US border. I knew exactly when it reached every point in Canada and when it was signed off and accepted into the US. Then it vanished. I started the search for it when it was missing 3 weeks, put in a request with USPS to find out where it was, and they had no idea. I then had to redo all of the passport stuff, try to find a US alternative guarantor, get photos redone, notify the passport office that identifying material was lost possibly stolen in the mail and not to accept a 'missing documentatin' request accompanying an application from 'me', set up credit alerts on our accounts because there was identifiable material in the envelope - well, you know what I am talking about. It took 4 weeks for the certified envelope to travel from the US border to our home just outside of Atlanta. Two days after its arrival, USPS 'sent' the results of their search telling me it had already been delivered!

For some reason USPS cannot deal with certified mail - it gets screwed up and takes 10 times longer to get where it is going than using priority with delivery confirmation. I am sure they will receive it soon, although not nearly as 'soon' as it should have taken. Good luck.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Thanks for all of suggestion.

I checked USPS, it says: Arrival at Pick-Up-Point, June 28, 2008, 11:30 am, LEES SUMMIT, MO 64002

Normally when will USCIS pick up the mail? I sent it by Express Mail. Worry about it again.

Appreciate any information and experience.
