This is contrary to many posts I have read about whether to bring the Xray with carry on or check in baggage. Is there something new I need to inform my Sweetie of?

this is nothing new. the vast majority of the time the x ray is not asked for at the POE. a few have posted they were asked for the x ray. if you want to be safe, you can hand carry it. IF the POE you are going thru, you picked up your check in bag before going thru immigration, then safe to put in your check in bag where it's easy to get to. that's what my wife did. her POE was SFO and was not asked for the x ray.

Hello Vjers,

My POE was Washington and I wasn't ask for my Xray film but I hand carry it coz that is what I heard to those who had gone through with it. The I-94 is important and we were told to signed it while we were at the plane. Just don't forget to bring the brown envelop coz that is really important.

Have a safe Trip! bring something to read it will help the boredom. Good luck to her!

Thanks!

before your departure in the philippines u needed your passport to have CFO sticker stamp by CFO staff with his/her signature. You should bring your brown envelop too and during your flight, flight attendant will get u form that u needed to fill up. Your firt step in USA is your POE u have to undergo immigration and custom check up.... @ immigration ready your passport, 94, and brown envelop. And at custom be ready to answer their questions regarding of the contents of your luggage.

Goodluck

note : don't leave immigration until they stamp your 94.
