Also, "Christ" is not Jesus' last name, it is a title.

We say "Jesus, Mary & Joseph" too... although my mother used to make up words so she didn't swear in front of us... funny enough, I do the same with my children now!

What about our middle names? None of the women in my family, including me, have middle names. I was once told it was an Italian or Sicilian / Roman Catholic thing but haven't really found an anwer to that. Anyone know?

My Middle Name is after my Grandma. I've heard several reasons for the Middle Name. One is to show lineage or geneology. Some cultures and even religions do this by always keeping the fathers name and the grandfather of that father and the great grandfather names ect...all the way back to 1,000+ names to show the line of geneology. Even the women keep the fathers name.

Some have said the middle name is a second name incase the child doesn't like their first name. Some also say that the middle name is a susbtitue name in the case of the child being a Jr. or a roman numeral. This is to differentiate between family members.

Any other ideas?

I used to go to school with a kid who would say "Jumping Jesus on a pogo stick"...... not sure where it came from, but it always amused me.

But then again, I had a bobble head Jesus on my dashboard of my car for ages...

Happy

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

The H stands for Harold, as in, "Our Father, who art in heaven, Harold be thy name" (snort).
