I have asked this before, but can't remember anything! Am I to call NVC & notify them about the address BEFORE or AFTER they receive our documents???

What's the phone number?

Thanks to any who answer this. I am sure this has been asked quite a few times, but I am at work & don't have time to look through topics right now.

Congratualtions on your approval again boohbah.

I'm not sure if the NVC can/will do anything about your fiance's address. But here's the info anyway....

NVC Contact Information

You need to speak to someone. K1s are not entered into the automated system. Use options 1 and then 5. I've read that it's much better to call later at night.

Your petition wont stay there long. They will be able to tell you when/if it was sent off to London and then you can (if you like) try to track your petition to London usind DHL.

I (beneficiary) changed address between NOA2 and our application arriving at the Embassy. My fiance told NVC of the change over the phone while they had our application and at the same time I emailed the Embassy in London to let them know. That way I felt that I'd covered all bases and I didn't have any problems - everything was sent to my new address.

Here is the situation. Our case has been sent to the embassy from the NVC just this past week. Problem is, at the time we filled our the petition, my DANISH fiance was living in Canada, which is the address we used. We also requested on the form (question 20) that he apply through the embassy in copenhagen. Just today, I received a letter stating that our case has been sent to CANADA!! He no longer lives there, he lives in Denmark. I don't know what I should do. Is there a way to contact the embassy in Vancouver and figure all this out? Any suggestions? I'm really afraid that we have completely messed this up!

According to the FAQ's of Islamabad, Pakistan consulate, that embassy requests any change of addresses via fax to their office with the case number and pertinent information. I would send such a request/fax to Canada. Hope that works. No I don't think you've messed this up, they will simply forward your information to Denmark. One less file that Vancouver has to handle. Hi DoctorM,

Sorry for the delay. I haven't been on here in quite some time, since I've been waiting to hear word on our case. So, if you remember, our case was sent to the wrong consulate; to canada rather than Denmark. I immediately called the embassy in denmark and explained the situation. The woman basically told me that my fiance would have to send them a letter stating his change of address along with evidence that he is a resident there. We did this, then I notified the embassy in Canada of the situation via e-mail, and they sent the case to Denmark, which took an entire month to arrive there! So, we have just received our packet and will be filing paperwork to set up an interview. Here's hoping! So, my thoughts to you would be notify the embassy of your home country regarding the situation. That embassy will have to notify the consulate in Canada and request the transfer of the case. Best of luck to you and please let me know how it goes/went. :)
