Today is my 2nd year anniversary to my Lao Po. :wub:

We were married on a tuesday in Nanning, China by a very serious looking woman. I can remember us being very happy as we went back to the bus station for the 2 1/2 hour ride to her hometown, Beihai, China.

We are still very happy, it has just been a long road to this point. This long difficult journey has been difficult.

We are still looking forward to the day when can be together.

A small anniversary present yesterday... 2nd step in the "process", my petitions were completed in NVC... now waiting to be shipped to the U.S Consulate in Guangzhou, China.

Though we are still far apart on this important day, our love is still strong as the day we were married on that beautiful tuesday afternoon in Nanning. :wub:

I do look forward when I can be next to my little pumpkin everday. :star:

Sent I-130 to TSC

Received NOA1 from CSC with a date of 8/15/06

I-130 petition approved 4/16/2008 after 19 months.

Got IIN from NVC 5-13-08

Paid AOS fee online 5-14-08, Paid IV Fee online 5-27-08

Sent I-864 forms 5-27-08

Sent DS-230 forms 5-28-08

6-2-08 called NVC and msg says "received all information,processing will take 4-6 weeks"

6-13-08 called NVC, CR1 is complete, sent RFE for CR2. returned to NVC, waitn on result

6-26-08 case complete/approved. Waiting to be transferred to U.S. Embassy in Guangzhou, China for interview date

7-7-08 Petition forwarded to Guanzhou, China. Awaiting interview letter.

I totally understand you, We just had our 2 years in May and we haven't seen each other going on 1 year and 6 months... But our love has become more stronger if that is possiable :luv:

12.10.08 - Applied for SS Card

12.15.08 - Welcome Letter Received

12.17.08 - SS Card Received

12.26.08 - Green Card Received :)

congrats!! This is good news for the interview as well, you all will get the IR-1 visa instead of the CR-1! No removal of conditions!

08-14-2008- Approved!!! 216 days...

08-21-2008- NOA2 Hardcopy received

08-27-2008- NVC Receives file, NVC Case Number issued

09-05-2008- AOS Fee Bill and DS-3032 Generated

09-06-2008- E-mailed DS-3032 to NVC

09-11-2008- Received Hardcopy of DS-3032 and AOS Fee Bill

09-15-2008- Mailed Hardcopy of DS-3032

09-16-2008- Paid $70 AOS fee online

09-17-2008- Received E-mail confirming the DS-3032 Agent

09-17-2008- Printed Coversheet for AOS paperwork

09-17-2008- IV Bill Invoiced

12-16-2008- Sent I-864 EZ to NVC

When and how does that happen? my wife was told by some other ladies this is not routine any longer, does anyone know this?

I called NVC, and they are having a supervisor look into it because I want it taken care of before it goes to the Embassy

They told me to give them 10 to 15 days to have the supervisor look into it and have it update. I am hoping it happens before the File gets to the Embassy otherwise I think the Embassy will be in charge of issueing the IR-1 instead of CR-1 but dont try to do it at POE cause it might be a complicated issue then as I saw this on another post.

I think that is why our case is not complete yet because of this...

CR1 and IR1 are both immigrant visas. The Consulate will issue the appropriate visa. Since you have already been married two years before the visa is obtained, they'll simply issue an IR1 visa. Nothing for you to do. Nothing special.

That older woman in the Nanning marriage to foreigner office is definitely on my wife's all time bu hao list.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
