Perhaps she is in the best place possible for now. It may be unpleasant, but she will get help and she has to work hard at it by the same token. Trust me, I know.

cant visit her..she is in south carolina. I can't even talk to her cuz I don't know what to say. Fckd up huh? I should be saying 'oh you poor thing how can I help you?'....when in reality she scares me. what kind of rationale would make someone think leaving by their own hand is ok? So I am scared of her.

Here comes my second reaction..I am angry. I am angry she would think she could dramatically leave her 4 grandchildren that she is helping her daughter raise. One is a 4 year old girl and I just cant CANT comprehend saying goodbye to a 4 year old. Am I a monster to feel this way.? Have anyone of you lost someone to suicide? I need to know if I am a horrible person for feeling so distant from her.

Well I had a friend in high school whose dad committed suicide while here and her sister and mom where in the house! She didn't come to school for a while. She and her family tried to pick up the shattered family piece by piece together. For this kind of situation I would offer you the serenity praryer:

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I can not change.

The courage to change the things I can.

And the wisdom to know the difference.

dayum jackie. your boss sounds as crazy as mine gets sometimes. I did talk to hi today though and he was in a surprisingly good mood. I was kinda...er....scared:) lol

Jackie - Sorry to read about your sister and your emotions are valid. May I suggest you see how you can help your sis's grandchildren. They probably need something - a comforting ear, words of wisdom.... And it might help you too.

I too had a crappy day at work - told I wasn't professional yesterday in my interaction with a co-worker. However, my boss says I am technically very good ..... I am actively looking for something else. Thinking July 7 would be a good day to quit/leave on the spot....

She is about 17 now. I had to give her and my cockatiel and my turtle up because I have too many pets and it was getting very hard for me to care for them when I get sick. I have NEVER given away a pet, because I am their last stop. It was hard, but I know they have a wonderful home now and I did the best thing for them . This pic is the first I have seen of my Roger since she left my home. I had her since she was a baby and rescued her from deplorable conditions in a filthy pet shop.

I still have my other 2 birds, 2 cats and 2 dogs.
