We're filling out the forms from Packet 3 sent by AIT in Taiwan and are having a few questions. Already emailed them a week ago but still no response. Wondering if someone who's dealt with AIT can answer..

DS-156K:

On the cover letter, AIT instructs that the form can be submitted before proceeding with collecting the supporting documents, however on the form it says "The following documents must be attached in order to apply for a fiancee visa". Which one is true or how's it generally been done?

What could be used as "evidence of engagement"?

"Evidence of financial support" - Does it have to include bank statement or only the proof of employment/salary would suffice?

On DS-230 Part 1:

Does she need to prefill Question 14 (Spouse Information), if the form is to be reused for AOS?

Question 25 asks for all previous US visits. Fiancee has entered US numerous times on C1/D visa for work, do they have to be listed?

Much appreciated!

Evidence of engagement can be a renewed letter of intent: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Fiance...r_of_Intent.doc

Evidence of support is an I-134 from US Citizen petitioner.

One thing about I-134, the directions included with I-134 are very old, USCIS has no reason to update them since USCIS has no application for that form.

The consulates tend to treat the I-134 like a mini-I-864 as so prefer the same financial evidence as the I-864.

In our case this what the I-134 included.

  • I-134 signed and notarized.

  • SIMPLE Tax transcripts from the IRS for past 3 years, (Redundant for the (1040,W2,1099) but are free from the IRS http://www.irs.gov/faqs/faq1-6.html

  • Photo copy of IRS form 1040, and W2s for past 3 years (Not necessary if you provide the transcripts)

  • Letter from my employer stating annual salary, job responsibility, and that is full time, on company letterhead.

  • Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.
My income was well above the povertyline so I did not include any asset data (LIKE BANK STATEMENTS or property values).

DS-230 Part 1 Example: http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-DS-230.pdf (Since she is a Fiancee, she has no spouse, so NONE)

Yes list all US visits, attach a sheet of paper if needed.

Lastly a great Chinese immigrations website you may be interested in is "A Candle for Love" there are a few members there that dealt with Taiwan. http://candleforlove.com

Thanks YuAndDan for being such a great help! So...

and

Photo copies of past month or so of pay stubs up to a few weeks before the interview.

Did you mean that the supporting docs like this and the renewed Letter of Intent will not have to be submitted with DS-156K, but at the interview?

Thanks again
