Has anyone seen "Shoot 'Em Up"?

We saw it at the weekend - totally hilarious.

yeah it was ok

Jason Statham is a horrible actor - and he always plays the same character. A big-screen 3rd Mitchell brother.

he is hilarious though.. I love the character he plays

We were laughing at the thing with the carrots - and how it was blatantly a sort of live-action looney toons cartoon.

yeah you could tell the movie was doing a spoof on those kind of "shoot em up" movies :P but it was trying too hard... *shrugs* hubby liked it though...

don't you people ever go see a movie for the sheer enjoyment of it...?? lol... or do you like to pick apart every movie you see? ...lol

All the time! That's probably part of the problem - I see 30-40 movies a year, so some I'm bound not to like. There are plenty of '#######' movies I love, don't get me wrong. I just listed ones I dislike that others do like.

Intriguing! Braveheart and the Patriot also feature in my 'disliked' movies list. ;)

I quite liked Braveheart, but The Patriot was really awful.

After watching those movies a lot of people in Britain wondered whether Mel Gibson had some sort of grievance against the English...

Didn't Mel Gibson say as much? Or am I imagining things?

Yes - I thought that, like Snakes on a Plane, it tried a little too hard to be funny. However, Snakes on a Plane had, well, snakes as a saving grace. :D

Oh - I enjoyed the first Transporter. :) Never saw the second.

I enjoyed Hero, but found House of Flying Daggers really dull.

Actually, I did enjoy the Titanic :)

The absolute worst for me are:

- Dude where is my car? (And they just had to show it last night here in Ukraine :()

- See no evil (absolutely disgusting, for the first time in my life I left the movie theatre)

- Blades of glory (What is so funny???)

- McHolland Drive (When the movie ended I still couldn't figure out what it was about. Can anybody fill me in?)

I spared myself the "joy" of Snakes on the Plane and Brokeback Mountain. No regrets :)

I rented "Jumper" via Netflix - that was pretty horrible. I have 10,000 BC to watch too - which looks even worse...

Yeah 10,000 B.C. is really horrible. I shut it off.

I winced when my hubby actually spent money on this...and now i know i have to watch it this weekend...that's it, dammit..he's watching Starship Troopers again ....god I love that film!!!

It's a good movie but I'll probably never watch it again. Too damn depressing.

I haven't had the nerve to watch Brokeback Mountain. Too many chocolate star fishes and rusty bullet holes for my liking.

Who in the hell wants to watch fudge packers for godsakes.

I think Brokeback Mountain would surprise a lot of people. It's not very explicit. It's quite slow-moving, focusing on emotions and repressed feelings more than anything. Some lovely cinematography, too. There are more heterosexual scenes (both main characters are married to women) than homosexual scenes.

I don't remember any chocolate star fishes in this one. You must be thinking of Bareback Mountain. Easy mistake to make.

Real love stories never have endings...

Blasphemy!! Who dares talk ill of Jason Statham?! :P Actually, I could care less what his acting is like... I (L) the accent.
