Oh yes the Beach was God awful.

And I agree with the Kevin Costner theme...I don't think there's a single movie of his that I've enjoyed.

So I presume you didn't see "No Way Out" (which had a nice zinger at the end) and "Field Of Dreams".

I think it's a worse offense if it is a movie that was propped up to be good but really stunk.

 I like Titanic...if you get past the syrupy stuff, the sense of being on the ship was pretty amazing.

I was really disappointed in No Country for Old Men. I felt cheated.

That was a good one... Shame that afterwards Costner appeared to have convinced himself that he was Cecil B. DeMille - and he went on to direct horrible movies like "Waterworld" and "The Postman".

I rented "Jumper" via Netflix - that was pretty horrible. I have 10,000 BC to watch too - which looks even worse...

Yeah 10,000 B.C. is really horrible. I shut it off.

See, a movie like that doesn't even remotely interest me....it just looks bad from the get go.

I was intrigued by the FX, but it wasn't enough.

You mean, you missed the final scene where the mammoths and sabre tooth tigers came together to sing a song they had composed especially in your honor? Women and children were hyperventilating in the cinema when I saw it...

The teaser looked interesting but I hear the plot is a 3rd rate knock-off of Edgar Rice Burroughs and Robert E Howard stories. Also from one review that considering that subject matter its not "tooth and claw" enough.

I'll probably put it on tonight - just to see if its bad/good or bad/boring.

Now Flash Gordon... There's a great movie ;)

It was like a throwback to the old caveman movies ...there was no real effort for accuracy.

Its the guys who did Independence Day - pretty much all of their movies stink like old socks.
