Changing my Biometrics appt

My wife needed to change her biometrics appt since we are going to be out of town. This forum suggested we go to the center and ask to get them done earlier. It is only 5 mins away from my house, so we went yesterday, she went in and it was empty except for 1 security guard and 1 person waiting in this huge waiting area. She walked in and told him her situation, he just pointed to the calendar and said Saturday. No explanation, nothing.. weird guy.. so I asked, so we can come in on Saturday to get the biometrics done and he pointed again and said come Saturday... I said anytime.. he said yes..

funny guy.. so we will go this Saturday and see if she can get it done.

At least from what I heard.... Saturday's are the slow and are used as "catch-up" days

Hope this is true! Please let us know. It varies so much between centres. I have heard of people from different areas be denied when they showed up on a different day, even those that were told to come in on certain days, so we'd really like to know the places where they can accomodate!

I will let you know. Worst case, we just postpone it. This center was not too friendly, but then again they must deal with a bunch of annoying questions all day.

If they refuse to see you on Saturday, there should be a check box at the bottom of your appointment notice to send in and request a new date. They usually reschedule pretty fast.

Fyi, I got my biometrics scheduled for July 5th, but I sent back the appt letter requesting a different date (and available dates) as I would be on vacation. Yesterday I received a new appt date for July 10th.

I had planned on going to the center tomorrow just to see if I could do a drop in if I had not received my new biometrics appt date by today.

It took six business days for me to receive a new appt date.

We went 810am on Saturday, the guard forgot all about why we came , but after I told him what he told us on Wednesday he let us thru, the lady at the counter verified everything, then told us the date should be July 8, i explained why he let us in and she said ok, and my wife waited 15 mins and had her biometrics done. So filling out the form, waiting on line, total took us about 30 mins. Now we are done... thanks everyone...
