Filed K-1 Visa before, will this hurt my second request

Ok here is my story. I filed a k-1 almost two years ago and was approved. That person came to stay with me with false motives. So I sent her back home and notified Homeland Security of what happened and I guess they cancelled the paperwork on her. My question is will this hurt my chances on applying for another k-1 visa. My next door neighbors introduced me to their cousin at a wedding in the Dominican Republic and we really hit it off. The person that was approved only stayed with me for about two weeks and July makes two years since I first sent in the first k-1 visa request.

You can apply for another K-1. Was it within 2 years, or just after 2 years? You might have to write an explanation with your application if it's within two years. Did you two ever marry? Sounds like not, since you didn't mention divorce. You might have to include your previous application number on your new application. Shouldn't be a problem.

No we never got married, she had someone else from where she was from and he called my house and they ran up my phone bill. Had her cousin pick her up until her flight back.

After all these works, expenses and sad ending. You did the right thing(send her home). No, it won't hurt your case, since you notified USCIS/DHS already. Good luck on your new one, but with cautious!!

No it won't hurt your second request. Make sure your new finance knows about the previous one and the circumstances leading up to her returning home. They might ask your finance if she knows about the previous application.

Best of luck!

FWIW, as a USC you do not file for a K-1. A K-1 is a visa. You filed an I-129F petition for Alien Fiance(e), upon which after the petition is approved the alien fiance(e) became eligible to apply for a K-1 visa. It is important to understand the terminology and use it properly, this is done in order to avoid replies that are incorrect or not applicable.

YMMV

A good idea to tell her in ant event. I think I recall the directions saying somewhere that they will disclose all earlier petitions and your criminal background. That may be an IMBRA thing though - I can't recall. We didn't meet on the web or through an agency so I didn't really pay attention to that part.
