I called DOS yesterday just to see what they would tell me. The lady said there was nothing negative about our interview in the system. She also said that his family name (Baqir) is not common and that would help expedite things. I asked for a reason for AP and she said it was mandatory for EVERYONE but that other things can prolong the checks (i.e., country, age, military record, common last name). I didn't think she would be able to give me any timeline and she didn't. Still, she sounded postive.

Well I have to say that its a lot better than I have gotten from DOS. For some reason each time i have called I feel I get the same lady with the same accent.

This is her spiel "Its still in process" When I ask what kind of process she says "I dont know...looks like security checks"

Its very disheartning and I am trying to keep my phone calls limited. I dont want to agrivate anyone over at DOS with my phone calls.
