Hi everyone,

I was filling out some forms and was unsure how to fill out the most basic stuff like FAMILY NAME. My husband and I are from El Salvador and while I have always just used one last name for my US life, I do have both names in my US passport.

I suppose for myself I must write what matches my passport, but what about my husband? Do I put his family name or just his fathers? Or do I put both last names since in our culture we use both father and mother last names? I mean in the US we don´t include First Middle Dad´s Mom´s, but those are the names in our legal documents so I think I should write all to be consistent with birth certificates, marriage certificate etc....

Any tips from previous hispanic filers or those with hispanic spouses would be great. Thank you!
