My packet 3 was mailed by the embassy on jan 26, with a medical of march 8 and a interview of march 15 (this is according to the Department of state)

The emabssay, when I called, claimed that she still has no appointment. I called the Dep of state and they informed me that they were 100% positive that she does in fact have appointments on that date and the packet was infact mailed.

Who should I believe? Are the people at Manila just some girls at a call center? And how do I find out if it was mailed and she just wasn't home? Do they use FedEx? or regular mail? any help would be greatly appriciated...thank you =D

Purple, believe the Dept. of State. If you called the 1-909-xxx-xxxx number, then that's just the Call Center and the info available to them is not synchronized with the Embassy nor updated and therefore, not reliable. My sister-in-law called them while waiting for her visa to be delivered and was told by the Call Center that her visa wasn't issued yet. But lo and behold, her visa was delivered the next day by Delbros, the courier used by the embassy.

Delivery of the packet needs to be acknowledged and signed for. If you are not home, ask a kindly neighbor to watch out for the delivery. Make sure you leave a signed authorization letter with your neighbor. "This is to authorize my neighbor, so and so, whose specimen signature appears below, to receive any delivery on my behalf from Delbros or any courier company". You need to leave a valid ID with your neighbor. Your neighbor will also be asked to present a valid ID.

Hope this helps.

when Claudeth went through the process it was Manila that set up the appointments and had nothing to do with any other department or agency, at least for the K-1. What number did you call at the embassy? I used to call (632) 528-6300 and then go to extension 5184 or 5185 for information.

How long has your petition been in Manila?

I called the dept of state...they say manila sends them the information. It's the only other thing i can find to call. As far as i understand they are the over-see-ers of all of this.

My k1 has been out since august 2005...

Thank you for your reply :D I'll try that number too.
