Have a query regarding OF-230-I and OF-230-II documents. I ve applied immigration of my parents under IR5 category. Now NVC has schedualed interveiw, following are the documents which have been asked to bring at the time of interview ( following are the doc along with their status)

OF-230-I status-----> Yes/Document Complete/Reviewed,

OF-230-II status-----> Yes/Document Complete/Reviewed

Passport status-----> Yes/Document Complete/Reviewed

Birth Cert status-----> Orig Doc Recieved

Marrige Cert status-----> Orig Doc Recieved

Police Cert status-----> Orig Doc Recieved

Financial Evidence status-----> Yes/Document Complete/Reviewed

Photographs status-----> Yes/Document Complete/Reviewed

Medical examination results

My concern is do we have to fill DS230 again and secondly original above certificates were already sent to NVC . how can i ge t the orig copy of these cert again.

In the NOTICE TO VISA APPLICANT its mentioned in bold "Please note that even though the applicant may have provided the NVC with a copy of a doc , the applicant is still required to bring the orig documents to the visa interview".

I hope some body from their exper could guide me .

waiting from the response, interview is on 23th of next month.

thanks

I had the same letter from NVC but you don't have to bring those if it say yes/completed. I had my interview last June 12.

Goodluck~

Good to hear from you.

kindly tell me what doc you had taken for the interview.

As it says "Please note that even though the applicant may have provided the NVC with a copy of a doc , the applicant is still required to bring the orig documents to the visa interview"

And secondly , what is the difference b/w these status's Yes/Document Complete/Reviewed and Orig Doc Recieved.

What action shoul;d we we have to take.

Thanks.

I had the same question on before my interview, if I have to bring those docs all over again providing that I submitted those all ready long before they scheduled me for an interview. The other thing I was concerned about is what I should bring that they haven't getting yet from me, and as I browsed in here at Visa Journey, I learned that remmitances, bank certificates, photos of us together, e-mail printouts, instant messaging or chat logs printouts are the most important than bringing those marriage,births etc. all over again.

In my interview, they did not ask me for marriage, birth certs, police etc., so as the rest of the applicants there.

They only asked for: photos, bank remmitances or bank joint account certificate(if any), we don't have joint account so I showed them receipts of remittances and my debit card extension. That's all they asked for, they didn't even asked for the chatlogs and bunch of email printouts I brought.

It became my question before because I have original copies of births, marriage and all but I don't have original copy of my husband's birth cert, in the end I just brought docs that is available in my hands, after all they have all these copies all ready, I saw it when I was interviewed, those marriage certs, birth certs, police and everything I submitted including the DS forms are in their hands.

Goodluck and you're welcome to ask any of my experience from interview.

P.S. in your q what is the differences..

Birth Cert status-----> Orig Doc Recieved

Marrige Cert status-----> Orig Doc Recieved

Police Cert status-----> Orig Doc Recieved

Those which was not reviewed might require document verification (US Embassy in Manila does that, that's why our VISA is pending, they sent my marriage cert. to National Statistics Office for review before releasing my VISA and so I paid Php650 (less than $20) for that, not to mention the shipping fee which was $7 equivalent. Most of the applicants here in the Philuppines experience that document verification thing...some pay the fees before the interview date. i paid mine right after the interview, I thought it doesn't matter even you paid in advance or not.
