This is regarding filling the boxes 21(a) and 21© under part 5 sponsors houshold size in for I 864?

I came here on a fiance visa and my wife is sponsoring me.

I understand that 21(a) should be 1 (number of persons sponsored) but what about 21© which says "Persons NOT sponsored in this affidavit", if you are currently married, enter "1" for your spouse. Should this be 1 since my wife is married to me or should this be 0 since she is sponsoring me ?

I understand that the total for household size should be 2 (me and her) but am wondering if 21© should be 1 or 0?

Please help me in figuring out what should go into this.

Thanks

Padhu

You are being sponsored on this I-864 so you are counted as IMMIGRANT, NOT Spouse.

As the form I-864 instruction states, make sure you DO NOT count any person more than once since some may fall in 2 (two) categories. If you are the only immigrant being filed for on this I-864 form, enter 1 on 21.a. Your sponsor, who is your wife, the one completing and signing the I-864 should enter 1 on 21.b. Since YOU are the immigrant as well as the spouse in this case, you should enter 0 on 21.c, thus making your household size = 2.

Thanks a lot to everyone who have guided me in filling it properly. I have filled as per your advice and sent it. Thank you once again.
