You don't do biometrics until they send you an appointment letter and tell you when to go.

I send the I-751 last week the check was cleared today, my questions is if that means I am approved to go to do the biometrics or even if I am not approved they take the money!!! Thanks

Cashing the check does not mean approval... It means the application was accepted for processing. Nothing more. You paid a processing fee not an approval fee.

With a personal check, the USCIS has a means to electronically debit your check to your checking account, they claim to electronically copy both sides of your check and send that to your bank. That also tells them instantly if you have sufficient funds to cover that check. Ha, if everything was just as quick as cashing your check, you would have your new green card the next day, but it only took 14 months for us to get that card.

They may request more evidence at no extra charge, but if they find errors in your application and deny it, you are out the bucks, make triple sure, everything is correct.

First thing, the only stupid question is the one not asked.

The I-751 process is a little different. You will receive a notice from the USCIS of an extension up to one year of your green card while they process it. You should receive a notice for biometrics within two weeks of that original notice. The new notice of biometrics is important. That notice will have your new case number which you use for email notification or to check the status of your case. Make sure to make the biometrics appointment.

Assuming that you have provided them with enough evidence, you just wait. I think you understand about that.

You should get NOA1 very soon-notice of action 1-which will extend your permanent resident status for 1 year. (some people dont get it thou). NOA2 is biometrics apoitment notice. It will tall you the date of fingerprints and picture to be taken. NOA2 should arrive in a week or so.
