For those of you worrying that the age difference might be an issue with USCIS, I'm three years older than my wife and we are both stuck at USCIS for 8+ months. Hope this gives you a piece of mind  .

This sucks more than anything else has ever sucked before.

An October 2007 I-130, I-129F filer.

I dont think USCIS cares of the ages, its when it hits the embassy at the time of the interview. But age should not matter, as long as it is a true and loving marriage.

Truly happy!!!

My husband and I have a 12 year age difference.

It's been brought up many times.....age doesn't seem to matter except in really extreme cases.

We also have a 12 year age difference. I (female) am older. I worry about this and feel that it would be the only reason we would be denied for a visa. I'm hoping it's not an issue, but one never knows.

We lived together for almost a year so I hope that eliminates any uncertainty the consulate may have.

I am 10 years older than my fiance. The only person who has ever made an issue out of it was me :) When we were first together I worried about being older for practical reasons. Neither his family nor mine has ever cared, and our friends say they don't notice a difference. It wasn't an issue at his interview either.

*******

Do you mind if i ask you the specific practical reason why you are worried about your 10 years age difference?

I just turned 24 and my fiancee will turn 20 in november. We don't see it as a problem and she always tells me she wanted someone around my age, but we met when she was only 15 and I wasn't sure if it would work at that stage. Turns out she's suprisingly mature for her age and it basically evens out.

I have a filipina friend that just arrived in the USA that is like 20 and her fiance is 50 something. So yeah, big age gaps are ok.

I don't anticipate any problems with my age gap with my wife. I'm 41 and she's 22.

If I didn't have bad luck, I would have no luck at all!
