I see from your timeline that you are waiting for your NOA2. When USCIS will approve your case (and send you NOA2), they will forward your file to the NVC, which then send it to your local embassy.

The embassy will then send you some mail, called here "packet 3". Usually it contains a checklist of the things you will need at the interview, and some forms to fill out and send back. Once you send these back to them, they will send you something else, called "packet 4", which usually contains the date of your interview and the last things you have to do, such as having the medical exam done.

But this depends on which embassy/consulate you go through. Some don't issue anything and you have to call them.

You can find the information for your embassy here: Thailand

I don't know anything about what they ask in Thailand, so you should probably browse the Asia forum for more information.

My fiancee has her medical exam done in Thailand, including vaccine, twice though... 1st round and then 2nd round for shots. I believe Laos and Thai function the same routine, package3 & P4 as mentioned above here. Good luck.

Yep. Cecile and Bryan gave a good answer, you better look at your local embassy site. The fact is that in Ukraine (where i am from) they don't send packet 4 any more, only packet 3. AND.. my packet 3 was sent to me when i already had my visa for couple weeks. I downloaded all the forms and info from embassy site, filled them and right when my fiance (now husband) got approval that our papers are sent to Ukraine, called to make interview appointment.

Just google "US Embassy, Bangkok". Go to "visas" and then to "immigrant visas". Packet three instructions are there in their entirety for K visas. The instructions are given in both English and Thai. Thailand does mail out a packet four with the interview date. My DIL's just arrived.

You can download ALMOST all the packet 3 forms, the US Embassy in Bangkok requires one form (DS-156) to be done on-line and printed out with a bar-code before the interview. The other non-included form you will need is the Police report which she will get at the Royal Thai Police Dept on Rama 1 Road.
