Yups, lesson learned gayud.. but of course, i still wont stop him from climbing trees... climbing trees is part of being a child and i can't take my kid's childhood away just becoz i have my fear of them getting hurt again. (i climbed trees when i was a kid, i fell so many times, broken my collar bone--according to my father-- and yet i continued to climb again and again). I guess I could only advise him to be extra careful and I just have to pray day in and day out for their protection.

well, another filipino trait i want to teach my kids is the filipino trait of RESILIENCE... the Philippines has been afflicted with so many calamities, hardship, etc. and yet you can still see many smiling faces around... we have been hit many times but still we continue to stand.

I could likened it to a kid climbing tree and then falling... the kid would be hurt but still, it wont deter him/her from climbing again and again.
