Movie that made you cry!

I am a very emotional and sensitive person and I cry (teary-eyed most of the time) whenever the scene is really touching, meaning almost all movies or TV shows can do that to me be it drama, comedy, love story, suspense, fantasy, sexy movie, chick-flick, whatever. So if I will write down all the movies, the list could go on and on forever. I even get teary-eyed just watching somebody cries... seriously.

I just remember, the only movie where I cried a whole lot (with tears rolling down my cheeks and blowing my nose) is a local one in my country. It's called "Anak" (child in English). I'm sure my fellow Filipinos will agree with me on this one.

Here's a little synopsis about the movie:

A woman struggling to make a better life for her family finds that her efforts have caused a rift between her and her children in this downbeat family drama. Josie (Vilma Santos) is a mother of three from the Philippines who took a job in Hong Kong, working as a nanny for a wealthy couple for several years. Josie knew she could make far more money in Hong Kong than she could at home, but she also had qualms about how this would effect her children. While she is working her employer refuses to let her take a vacation, nor does he deliver her mail to her. She is unaware, therefore, that her husband has died not long after she left. When Josie returns home, she has gifts for everyone and has saved a large percentage of her salary, which she plans to use to start a business; but her children don't welcome their mother with open arms. The younger kids, Daday (Sheila May Alvero) and Michael (Baron Geisler), are guarded around Josie, and while in time they are able to mend their relationship with their mother, the oldest, Carla (Claudine Barretto) does nothing to disguise her resentment for what she sees as a callous abandonment of her family. Carla openly challenges Josie's authority, starts dating boys she knows her mother would not approve of, flaunts her burgeoning sexuality, and begins using drugs.

The Incredible Journey (original version, not remake). I think this is the first movie to ever make me cry. When the cat, who has been assumed dead after that incident at the river, is reunited with the dogs.

I cried while watching the original and the remake.... in the remake I cried while at the last scene when all the animals come bounding over the hill except the old dog... :crying:

Steel Magnolias - oh my goodness, now that one makes me cry lots!

Oh, I LOOOOOOOOVE Steel Magnolias! Every time I watch it I think "I'm not going to cry this time." But the problem is that I start crying SOONER because I know the sad part's coming up. That scene at the cemetery..... OH MY GOD! :crying:

what about the first time watching TITANIC

I think I'm probably the only person in the history of the world who hated that movie.

OMG, I thought that was the worst movie EVER! No wait! I take that back! Dancing in the Dark was the worst movie ever! Titanic is the 2nd worst movie ever.

I think I'm probably the only person in the history of the world who hated that movie. I mean, I cannot stand it for some reason. My son LOVED it (probably because he had a huge crush on Kate Winslet). I think it's because I can't stand Leonardo di Caprio, I don't know. That song starts and I just think "oh God, not again...."

IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER...it was so heartwrenching..breaks my heart everytime i watch it :crying::crying:

Il Postino

Il Postino...I love that movie and had forgotten about it.

Also, In the Name of the Father, did you know that is a true story? I read the book before I saw the movie and I cried in the book too.

yes maybe thats one of the factors why i love IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER...it was so heartbreaking..one of Guilford 4 even married a Kennedy right?Daniel Day Lewis as Gerry Conlon was really the backbone of this movie..nice song too from Bono..

Just thought of another one. The Straight Story. An old man finds out his brother (whom he hasn't spoken to for years) is very ill, so he decides to go visit him. He can't drive a car though and winds up making the journey by lawn mower. A very touching, emotional movie that just gets to me every time. I think I'll watch it again soon.

Oh, and it was Richard Farnsworth's last movie before he killed himself.
