I have cried during lots of movies. I don't mind if after the sad comes some kind of happiness. I hate if it just ends sad. I watched Amazing Grace recently...I got a little teary. It's about the abolition of slave trading in England. Lovely movie overall in my opinion. Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, I cried. I won't try to list other movies that made me cry- there have been too many. What can I say, I'm a softy.

chris-lei-that part of Titanic always got to me too. I would even try ignoring certain scenes but still would cry (not at the 2 main characters, more for everyone else dying)

What's Eating Gilbert Grape made me cry also...

Ohhh I remember when I was still young, the first movie that made me cry was Mac and Me, I was crying non-stop when they started playing the theme song "Take me I'll follow"

I never cry but was pretty close to do so when I saw "My Life" & "Titanic". "Four Rooms", "Ace Ventura" and "Austin Powers" have also made me cry from laughing so hard.

Jakob the Liar (Holocaust movie with Robin Williams...I cried copiously on hubby's shoulder well into the night, while he tried to comfort me but kept falling asleep)

Dead Poets Society (again with Robin Williams..what a great actor): inspiring story of a nontraditional teacher inspiring the spirits of schoolboys

Dear Frankie (with Gerard Butler of "Phantom of the Opera" fame): achingly sweet story of a deaf boy who desperately misses his dad

Shadowlands (the lifestory of Narnia author C.S. Lewis and his love/loss)

Anna and the King (Jodie Foster): English schoolmarm falls in love with the King of Siam. Tearjerker part happens when two lovers are beheaded....and again at the end when Anna and the king realize they cannot ever be together

I've noticed that the lateness of the hour definitely correlates with how much I cry about movies
