police clearance downloadable AOS and DS forms =)

Hi everyone! I've been reading up about what happens after the NOA2 is issued and I have several questions. Thanks in advance for taking time to answer my questions. =)

1. From what I've read from previous posts, I need to get a police clearance from every town I've lived in since the day I was born. The thing is, we moved out of my birthtown when I was two years old. Should I still be required to get a police clearance from there?

2. Are the ds and AOS forms downloadable? If so, where can i find it? I checked the official NVC website and for some reason, the downloadable forms are expired. I was thinking of accomplishing the Ds forms now so that I can send it to my husband ASAP to avoid delays. =)

1) NOT town, "Place" as in COUNTRIES, if you have only lived in PI, then NBI Clarence is what you need for PI and it is for the entire country.

POLICE CERTIFICATES: A police certificate is required from a country in which the applicant lived for more than one year (six months if you are applying for a K visa) after turning 16 years of age. As with NBI clearances, foreign police certificates should be obtained in any maiden names, married names, aliases or nicknames ever used while in the country in question, including different spellings of all names ever used. Information on how to secure police certificates from countries where these are available may be obtained by contacting U.S. Embassy Manila’s Immigrant Visa Branch or an Embassy/Consulate of the country from which the police certificate is required.

thank you so much for answering my question YuandDUan. The police certificate certainly saved me a lot of time and effort. THe previous town I lived in up until i was 2 year old is 2 hours away! To think that I might've gone there for nothing. =)

I checked out the downloadable forms. Again, pardon my ignorance. I saw in one of the member's timeline that his spouse emailed the DS form to the NvC. HOw is that possible without the imprint of a signature and without the barcode?

You only deal with NVC IF you are doing CR-1 Immigrant visa, if you are doing K-3, you will be sending these things to the US embassy in Manila.

My last question is do I need to accomplish the series of vaccinations before the immigrant visa is issued? I asked this question before in the K3 thread. I was wondering if it would make a difference if we'll be going the IR1 route instead? Thank you so much!

You need to start the vaccinations before you go to the medical required for the visa, the doctor will then sign off on the vaccination requirements for the visa.

You may as well start the Vaccinations now they can be given by any medical center, and the record is brought to the visa medical.

You only need the ones needed for your age group.
