Hola entre con visa K-1 a Estados Unidos y envie todos los documentos para ajustar mi status ayer 24 de junio de 2008 me llego los recibos como que estan procesando mi caso y recibieron el pago. Mi pregunta es si con la visa k-1 puedo solicitar un numero de seguro social? Espero me puedan contestar mi duda Gracias

hola mi nombre es kevin montiel y leegue aqui hace tres meses y solo para contestarte tu pregunta, claro que si puedes tener un numero de seguro social tienes que llevar tu pasaporte y tu permiso de entrada a u.s.a es un papelito blanco que te dieron en el departamento de migracion , lleva eso a la oficina del seguro social y como en 2 semanas te va a llegar la tarjeta del seguro social!!

Sí, siempre y cuando la visa K1 no esté vencida. O sea 90 días después de haber entrado al país. Si la visa ya está vencida, tiene que esperar a que le llegue el perimiso de trabajo o la tarjeta verde para poder solicitar un número del Seguro Social.
