I'm a potential K1 visa applicant and have a few questions if anyone is willing to help me out.

Okay... so for the income...exactly how many years of work do we have to have to be elgible and not denied? Is 1 year of at least 125% poverty level acceptable? do we have to be constantly working when this proof is sent? i.e. if we left work for a while for whatever reason, does that bar me from applying for the k1 since it was a while since I worked? how does that whole income thing work out if you're not using a co sponsor? the reason being is that i'm in college currently but will be working for this semester. so when I do apply for the K1 visa, it may not be until....early 2010...late 09...since i'm waiting for him to finish school. i won't be finished with school until may 2011 (i took a year off, I'm working, etc). so if i have 1 year of income at or above 125% poverty level, even if it was before I'm applying for the k1 visa, will that be allowed to process the k1?

secondly....minimum age is 18 for sponsoring correct? some other ppl told me it was 21 so I want to make sure.

thirdly...I dont think this will be an issue since I've seen it done before, but just want to make sure - if the country the fiance is coming from is currently under sanctions, will that be a negative issue during the application procedure?

Thank you a lot, take care.

1) 1 Year at or above 125% is acceptable.

2)

C. If either of you is of an age that requires special consent or permission for you to marry in the jurisdiction where your marriage will occur, give proof of that consent or permission; and

Depends on if where you intend on getting married allows marriage at age 18

3) Not an issue, though USCIS, NVC, and Consulate may do additional name checking.
