9.29.08-Interview - AP (2 weeks)

10.15.08 - AP over :) Embassy called hubby to go get his Visa - HAPPIEST DAY!!!

10.20.08 - Visa Issued

11.25.08 - POE (JFK then SFO)

11.26.08 - Visa Journey is Over!! TOOK 737 DAYS....Habibi is Home!! :) :)

12.10.08 - Applied for SS Card

12.15.08 - Welcome Letter Received

12.17.08 - SS Card Received

12.26.08 - Green Card Received :)

nice.. so it does only take about 3-4 months time after the approval to get pretty far (near the interview at least).. I can wait that long.. :thumbs: that would be extra nice once it happens to us..

Transferred to local office based on "security checks" : 11/27/2007
wrote hundreds of letters - received letter from FBI Records Management Chief stating no security checks
local office interview : 2/21/2008 - brought my parents too (result : you will get approval within 2-3 weeks)
5/2/2008 - (lawsuit) Writ of Mandamus - OFFICIAL DATE (7/29/2008)
9/22/2008 - CALL AND EMAIL COPY OF APPROVAL NOTICE FROM LAWYER

NVC STAGE 2 : 99 days - 3 months (9/30/2008 to 1/7/2009)
NVC Received : 9/30/2008
Received Packet 3 (I-864/DS-230) : 11/10/2008
NVC says "RFE sent out 12/9/08 for missing documents" : 12/10/2008
CASE COMPLETE - 1/7/2009

CONSULATE STAGE 3 : 96 days - 3 months (1/8/2009 to 4/14/2009)
CLEARED CUSTOMS - 3/10/2009

"Ready for Interview" (Ready to wait for 1-3 Months, this is official NVC letter transfer date) : 9/9/2013

DHL Tracking : arrived 9/24/2013

P4 Letter : 11/21/2013

Interview Date : 12/9/2013, originally 12/3, stupid lawyer filled out her dad's passport number wrong..

Interview Passed : 12/9/2013

Visa "Issued" on CEAC : 12/10/2013

Yeah, I think it would have taken us less time but USCIS had our approval in their Mailroom for almost 1 month :angry:

It goes faster once at NVC and now you have that online option as well that you can probably do it in 1 month time at NVC... I hope you get your approval soon too Gogo!!!

Hey Jonbless!

I don't know if this info will help you a lot because I actually don't know anything about your case, but I was reading somethings about FBI name checks and I found out that many times they have to go through a manual search process that may take from 1 month to several months maybe a year. I don't know what's your case, but I think that's what many times can hold some of us back in the waiting line for approval. I still don't know if there is really something we can do about it...

This is what I found in another website:

How Do I Check the Status of My Name Check?

FBI's NNCP no longer accepts phone inquires from individuals. Their email address, FBINNCP@ic.fbi.gov, is still open but it will be months before they reply to your message, if ever.

The best approach to check case status on FBI name check is through InfoPass with the USCIS. Additionally, asking your senators, congressmen, or even the first lady Mrs. Laura Bush, may also provide status information. Check our case status page for more information.

Ah, by the way, with that I'm not saying you may have problems with FBI. I'm just suggesting one possibility of finding out what is holding you back from having your case adjudicated. FBI may just decide to go through this manual process with anyone then we have to wait. :blink:

According to a congressional liason at VSC, everything is order with my petitions. No problems. Nothing. I have never received an RFE. Nothing.

My congressman has been told it is at the final stage awaiting a decision. But he has been told the same thing for months now.

All I can say is #######?!?!?!?!?!

Don't know how much more waiting I can deal with.

I have no life without my wife.

you all are very kind. thank you again so much for showing some love. i pray that it will be over soon. and when i say "soon" really mean SOON!

Last resort is that I sacrifice a lot and move back to Brasil once again. But whatever it takes to be with the love of my life, i will certainly do.
