One thing you can do is familiarize yourself with the adjustment of status process by reading the guides. Besides getting married the only thing that can be done before the wedding is apply for a SSN.

maybe this is not "technical help but I offer it up. Since I just got married on June 3rd ( 2 seperate days , at the notaria , despues en La Maison , ( casa de matrimonios) Enjoy your partner and be as calm as possible, take pictures of all of your documents and try to stay in a good mood no matter what . It is a time of stress and that can be unfortunate at a time when you both need to be patient and loving. Nothing could have been as insane as some of what we went through in first the US then Cuba to be married and then to register the marriage, which after 5 trips to various places alllwrong, we found was unneccesary! we got tired out and hot and thank god for the love we have. So, maybe one thing, to be fair you have time between your weddings, if you can think of any things that you need help with, make sure to get it. and meet with the priest enoughto have no surprises, if language is a problem, find a wonderful person to translate. I was with only Cubanos at my ceremony and boda, I wished I had had a closer girl friend there, it is alot to process between the partners, and the entire issue of the immigration is full of weight. Breath deeply, you are so lucky!

Wishing you all the best,

Juana y My far away esposo, Aldeki

One love...
