crazy4papi & candid witch, don't give so much energy with this mind games. It's not worth it, we are more level minded & educated people compared to them. They are just trying to mess up & want this thread to be closed. As you can see to their membership timeline, they are the so-called oldies here in vj & supposed to help newbies and not to castigate but instead it clearly shows the kind of person they are, their growing backwards and we should laugh for pity for this people. To this group who always criticize specifically shape, hbunch, gurl, candid witch & other filipinas. THANK YOU FOR GIVING US THE IMPORTANCE OF YOUR TIME TO BE RECOGNIZED YOU MADE OUR IDLE TIME MORE AMUSING! AT LEAST WE ARE ABLE TO PRACTICE OUR REASONING ABILITY / REASONING POWER.

Practice makes perfect! :)

I would be scared to add up how much hubby payed for me... :o

you're canadian, i'm certain you are worth it.

does that mean other nationalities aren't worthy?

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......

sounds like a bribe ...

I've been to lots of church weddings ... didn't notice the groom buying the bride at the alter.

or maybe that's the tip.

It is not "buying the wife" or "giving tip"... Exchanging of arrhae or coins is just a symbolic part of the traditional catholic church wedding ceremony ( i am not sure if all catholic people are still practicing it) where as the groom handover the arrhae to his wife as a symbol that he is entrusting the handling/managing of "whatever wealth they would have as a couple" and as a response, the wife would gladly accept the role (wife usually handles the budgets at home regardless of how small or big the amount is) and should promise that she would manage it carefully (budget the money wisely, not to waste it for useless things)...

The Wedding Coins (also known as: Arras [ah-rahs] or Arrhae [ar-rah-heh]) have traditionally symbolized the prosperity that would be shared by the new couple, and the groom's promise to provide for the welfare of the new family.

*However, today's couples embrace life & face the world together in a more mutually supportive way than ever before. So, the Wedding Coins have come to symbolize the couple's commitment to mutually contributing to their relationship, their children, and their community.

given the rise of the canadian dollar against the us dollar in the past year or two, and that you've been married about 3 years now, i'm sure that nowadays you represent a good investment

*runs*

I believe that people in VJ are not clannish.. the reason why I joined this group is because I do believe that the mission is to help those who are having visa processing dilemna. People around the globe who have USEM issue were suppose to be unified in here. So, I guess that in here there are no less, better or equal when it comes to nationality..

Fingers are not the same so we could not generalize or judge people from what country they came from..

People differs in attitude regardless of nationality. I do not think that being a FILIPINA could make me a less person..

I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all that I am, in the only way I know how -- completely and forever......
