To those who have been interviewed for a CR1 visa, If you have any information to share regarding

the necessary documents to bring and questions asked during your interview. It would be greatly appreciated.

Orig and photocopy of:

Birth cert

NBI

Marriage cert (for verification purposes ung orig. if humingi ng copy, just give the xerox copy. they

didn't ask for these in my case. Maybe because i sent the NSO copy of birth/marriage and orig NBI

to the NVC. nakita ko ito hawak nila finorward ng NVC)

Also bring these:

Correspondence (sama mo ung envelope)

Pictures (manipis at konti lng,maliit ung opening ng window. Dont bring the huge photo album)

Remitances

Bank statements

Telephone bills

ETC..

Basta any proof of identity/relationship. Only the pictures and correspondence lang ang tiningnan nila.

Then sa pre screener binalik nya yung 2x2 ko pic na sinend sa NVC. Kasama yun ng DS230. Then pinagsign ako sa DS230. The prescreener writes all your answers from her questions on the back of one of your documents. So pls remember everything as the consul will ask the same set of questions to you. Well if nagsasabi ka naman ng totoo automatic ang sagot mo. Kahit paulit ulitin pa. In my case i noticed yung ilang questions eh naitanong na itatanong uli sa kalagitnaan binaligtad lang yung porma ng tanong.

How does he entered the US?

(By taking a plane. joke!) He was petitioned in 2001. (again confused. i thought is he asking the

means of transportation. NYEK!)

Who is his petitioner?

Is your husband a Filipino?

Yes he is a Filipino (the consul raised his kilay and forming a small O of is pout and then

smiled)dipa tapos sagot oipogi nagre

react ka agad jan) but now a U.S. citizen. (para shang narelieved right after.Sinabi ko na nga na 2007

nya naaquire ung naturalization nya. this is what im taking about binabaliktad lang ung mga

questions para mahuli ka nya or makita nya how accurate your answers were.

Have you ever been to Canada? (He enumerated list of countries pa)

Nope lahat (kulit talaga inuulit lang nya)

Is he working right now?

When you two met, is he working?

Yes. We were on the same company. We were on the same line. I was the XXX and he is the

XXX.

So why did he go to d US when he has a job here?

Because he was petitioned in 2001.

Ah Ok..

Did he go to hongkong? (Ginuu! hongkong na naman)

Oh that was in California. Anaheim.

Did you go on a trip together?

What picture sir?

This one? (because our background looks like in Thailand, he thought my makikita na shang butas)

That was the wedding of our friend. (my husband is wearing a barong. my namamasyal kayang

nakabarong?)

Where is this?

At work.

After that he got a card. Read the address. He was looking for postage stamp of america. Oh i forgot i answered that my hubby is unemployed as of now. He marked the checklist MNL-IV-22. Requiring co-sponsor even if my husband met the required income for the year 2007. Snabi ko lang unemployed. 2x ko pa sinabi yung "as of now"

he said "Ok wait for your # to be called and see the next step." The only thing that came out of my mouth is the big WHEEW! He then looked at me smiling again, "Are you OK?", "Yes, I am!"

I was called at window39.Paid the Delbros delivery fee.But i still have to comply first the AOS of my other sponsor. YAHOO!

malapit na din yan girl! makakasama mo din hubby mo..ako need ko tlaga na makaalis agad kase gusto ng hubby ko na dun nako manganak..5 months preggy kase ako..Take care and Gud luck!

thank you heno! salamat sa info tlaga.. God Bless! kinakabahan na tlaga ako kase super lapit na..

OH i see your preggy..congrats. tip ko lng bring jacket sa USEM. malamig. also bring 2x2 pic. dko sure kung kinuha nila sakin to. if your too early sa time sched mo dka muna papapasukin. 8:30am sched ko. i was there at 7am. sabi ng guard puede na raw. nilakad ko lang ung UN ave. simula Taft. lapit lang naman. buti d umulan at kakatapos ng ng typhoon. ready mo na ung letter from nvc at ID sa entrance.

sa loob they'll give you your ticket#. lagi mo titingnan ung board kc hindi sunod2 ung pagtawag. 7:30am natapos ko na yung pre screening at finger printing. nainterview ako ng consul 10:30 na. pero mabait talaga yung consul sa room31. ung pre screener asked me din kung nagpunta ako ng hongkong. kc pag nakakakita sila ng picture ng disneyland, hongkong agad ang tinatanong. kc madali lang pumunta sa hongkong. hinuhuli siguro kung nagsasabi ka ng totoo. my picture kc hubby ko dun. sinama ko sa album. they are paranoid when it comes to trip outside the phils kc need mo magsubmit ng police clearance kung nagtagal ka sa isang country. they want to track offenses kaya makulit sila paulit ulit.

ah ok thanks sa additional info..nagpunta kami ng hong kong ng husband ko 3 days lang kami dun pero galing pa sya sa chicago ako galing sa pinas kasma ko youngest brother ko..nagpapakabusy nga ako para di ko na masyadong isipin na malapit na interview ko..salamat uli and sana makuha mo na agad visa m..God Bless

Interview only took about 3 minutes, CO was a very friendly woman who only ask three questions.

1. What is your husband's job?

2. Did you meet his children?

3. When did you first meet?

Then the CO said you should be with your husband, you are approved it will take about one week for your visa.
