We both went to the interview last Wednesday 18th and as I guessed it, arrogant americans working there. At the first interview I am sure the lady decided to deny the visa within the first minute as she turned the light on for the next person almost immediately after Bing entered the room. I do not have enough income. :blink:

Sure enough at window 36 another lady called our number and announced that we were denied the visa because Bing would become a public charge... I stepped up to the plate and told her of assets and house etc, she announced the papers were irrelevant without a deed, etc etc etc. I insisted she forward the information to someone in a higher position and she did. :angry:

Window 33 a man called Bings name and we both went there. I again explained that I have assets in excess of whats needed, he asked if anyone asked to review the documents and I told him None asked. I produced more documents, bank deposits, house statements etc and he added things up and was still in question until he asked a knowledgeable Filipino man that clearly said that I have adequate funds and to reverse the denial in the computer. :thumbs:

The funny thing about it all is since it was decided at the first interview a denial, the rest of the paperwork was not looked at closely. I suppose it would have been reviewed when the visa denial was contested sometime in the future but since it was contested the same day it was not. The I-134 was not signed, employer letter not reviewed, paperwork not looked into. Only thing reviewed during the day after the first interview was bank statements and house statement and tax bill.... The man looked like he was embarrassed that he was unsure how to proceed with a case such as ours.

Low income and no co-sponsor... no biggie. I knew this would be an issue that Bing alone would not know how to contest and planned to fly for the interview. 3 weeks notice made it hard to get things in order but I did. Too bad none of it was looked at LOL :whistle:

All that is needed is the stamp indicating PDOS was completed (not open today) and we are good to go back to the US on Thursday... What a hectic few weeks we have both been through. I am glad this is almost completed after all this time.

:dance::dance::dance:

That is so awesome! Way to show them!

Oh, and congrats! :thumbs:

That's one unforgettable experience for you and Bhing. Glad to know that you're able to contest the denial and granted the visa. May your life together be blessed with more graces. Have a safe flight to US!

In all the emotional sleepless madness we forgot to take the Immigration documents out of the suitcase and realized it as it slipped beyond the black rubber straps of the conveyor not to be seen until arrival. Bhing worried the whole brutal trip about it and I reassured her that she should be worried :P

Upon arrival I explained to an officer that she needed her papers before she could go to immigration and he told us to explain it to the man at entry, he said go to US citizen check in and they should help us. We did, they told Bhing had to wait tin the back as I went to find the luggage with the documents. While waiting I hear this sweet voice next to me saying theres the suitcase with the papers...they let her out to help look for it with me... how she got out I wondered. Anyways she got paperwork and disappeared into the abyss again as I searched for the rest of the luggage.

About 10 minutes later again I hear her voice saying that she thinks she sees the rest of the luggage, I asked how she got out, she told me she is done... what? She said they entered stuff into the computer and welcomed her to America... wow.

Luggage in hand we proceed to the declaration point and inspection of luggage, handed the slips to a lady who told us to proceed. There was a area that said customs inspection and outbound flights.... I saw a sign that said enter Detroit and we opted to go through them doors...went through and was in general population, surely this is wrong, no? Went to the 2nd level and out to my car, loaded up and home we are.

I knew we didn't have anything to worry about even though the paperwork was not handy but this was way too easy. WAY too easy, I don't know what and where I messed up but it slid through so easily and without incident I still have a hard time believing how this day has transpired.

Watching her reactions after we arrived at home (home now not just my house) Bhing couldn't sleep more than 30 minutes while I took full advantage and got 6 hours sleep. I can not imagine all the things that must be going through her head right now. I couldn't imagine what it is like to be her at this time. All I can promise her is that I will be here and help her with anything and everything that I can.

Tomorrow for me will bring the regular manatony of the stock markets and printing after that closes in an effort to perpetuate my income-less future, Bhing has already made the daily things I depend on being handy disappear into a pre organization effort. She says my house is so dirty...LMAO If she only saw it 4 weeks ago before me and my son spent weeks cleaning and organizing.

I think in her mind is a thousand things going on but as I write this and think, I realize that my mind is thinking thousands of things also. In the pre-departure restaurant meal with her family and the ensuing interrogation I had just realized why I have waited and gone through this Visa Journey for Bhing, I have treated many women well but have not ever had the chance to treat a good woman well. This will be the beginning of a new life for both of us, and I have promised to do as I will never change who I am, be me and trust and honor again a woman who has had me wait and stand the test of time. I believe in destiny and I am living it now.
