Okay, so I am a little slow in catching on, even dense, but finally woke up when I saw this section on this board.

'Bringing family members of Permanent Residents to America"

I Believe that states that permanent residents can petition for aliens to come to this country, right? Otherwise, why would VisaJourney have section titled that?

I though you were applying for US citizenship which is somewhat logical as this is the "US Citizenship General Discussion" of this board. And maybe you are, but also petitioning for an alien, not from outer space but from a different country you prefer not to divulge.

See there are 23 sections in this website, most of which I haven't even ventured into, found the "Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion" site when doing a search when Nebraska slipped back over a year in processing the I-751 wondering what the hell was going on with my wife's and daughter's green cards were about to expire. Bookmarked just that site not even aware that there are other topic sites in VisaJourney. Just found the main topic site recently when applying for US citizenship for my wife. And see that other members of the "Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion" site are here too.

Hi everybody, how is it going?

Are you posting in that 'Bringing family members of Permanent Residents to America" site too?

Part of the learning process, my wife was working for Johnson & Johnson, the BandAid people along with 6,000 other products in Venezuela, an American based company that is shifting their executives all over the world, so when we were getting serious asked who their immigration firm was. They got her and her daughter here okay, but further investigation, they specialize in work visa's. Should have know better than that, as in the business, tax, and patent world, you just don't go to any attorney, but have to find an attorney that deals in a very specialized field. I had no idea that immigration was this complicated, so it seems for getting my wife here, we should be seeking an attorney that specializes in 'Bringing family members of Permanent Residents to America". As I said, I am slow in catching on.

My step son didn't want to come with his mom, was going to a university down there, and while some nasty things can be said about Chavez, his tuition is free and he can eat three meals there for about 30 cents a day and pay 9 cents a gallon for gas, that education here would cost us a huge fortune. He did graduate, but met a girl of his dreams, I met her last year, a real sweetheart. I chat with him and his girl frequently, while we may get him here, would have problems bringing his girl here, always problems.

My kid brother recently married an immigrant, ha, maybe because he met my wife and how wonderful she is, that's just speculation. His wife is a permanent resident and trying to bring one of her kids here and running into the same problems you and everybody else is. My brother's solution is to find a country where they all are welcomed without all this BS.

Ha, maybe we should all move to a different country and leave the USCIS hanging and starving for lack of business. I have heard it can take as long as ten years for a PR to bring a relative here. It's a shame that this country has put laws and regulations ahead of people, are there any New Worlds left? That is why our ancestors came here, to leave all the ####### behind, now we got stuck with it.
