Do you wear perfume to go to the gym?

I was working out this afternoon and this girl got on the elliptical machine next to me and her perfume was so strong I had to move. Not only was it strong, but I have asthma and the perfume made me start to have an asthma attack. Luckily, I had my inhaler with me since I normally leave it in my locker.

I was just curious if anyone wears perfume to work out and if you do could you please explain why. I don't understand making yourself smell good just to get sweaty.

One time, this guy reeked so bad of garlic, I had to leave the gym. The best thing gyms can do is provide a lot of air circuilation...people are bound to give off one odor or another.

It´s rude to bother other people with your heavy perfume when they work out and breathe deeply. I also don´t like it when people wear heavy perfumes on long flights.

Stinky armpits, especially in a woman, is disgusting. But come to think of it isn't BO considered attractive in some cultures?

I can think of one term that I use for smelly people that I will just not mention in here when it comes to other cultures.

I rather smell someone's perspiration than cologne or perfume. If someone who has fairly good hygiene (takes at least one shower a day) gets that smelly from just sweating...they've got something wrong with them.

I dont wear any perfume to the gym, just reaply deodorant. The gym smells like perfume, cologne, and funk, and when all the scents in there collide its barfferific!

I can't stand it when people get overzealous with the disinfectant when they clean the equipment creating a chemical cloud to breathe in.

I'm happy some of you agree with me. It wouldn't be a big deal if people weren't working out and like someone else said heavy breathing or breathing deeply.
