Back when we did our K-1 visa, there was a member from Morocco (Naija?) that had her interview the same day as my husband. She was put on AP for quite some time. We were on it for 6.5 months and she was on it longer that that.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

my fiancee is on AP as well. they told us it will take at least 2 months to be processed. (Ankara)

I am moving to Iran. I will not wait for the US govt. to LET me live with her.

Well, luckily for you, people aren't flocking to Iran trying to live there so you will not have that problem there. Unfortunately for the United States, it takes longer as we have millions more immigrants.

Married: May 28th, 2007

Arrived in the US: December 10th, 2008

This has nothing to do with the OP's question.

Yes, it is my understanding that females do get AP, but like someone said , they probably spend less time in AP as opposed to a male.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Your English is fine. Please do not worry. No one can predict the future, and no one died from waiting. Whatever happens happens for a reason and it is God's will. Please try to relax and focus on the interview.

I agree that nobody would want to flock to a country that is next on America's list of annexed states, but I am going because my S.O. is there and I have family there. Look at the bright side, though: if McOldie is elected, you and I will be able to ride a Humvee from Baghdad to Tehran to Kabul without any hangups! (if there's anything left of Iran, that is. i don't think McSenile wants to make the same mistakes that were made with the last two, so he'll probably send some unilaterally approved preemptive nukes Iran's way.)

*end of digression*

Dear Khengool:

I am married to an Iranian Chemical Engineer. It took about 4 months for AP to clear.

So if your fiance is not a man and does not have a profession which could be considered "dual purpose" (ie used to harm USA) then I don't think you have to wait too long.

Be prepared that the Embassy will ask for a resume at the last minute. They did for us.

Can you afford to leave USA, your job (which may be the foundation of showing financial stability to sponsor your fiance) just to wait for a few months in Iran until the AP clears?

I, too, wanted to quit my job and go and wait with my husband. But I also knew I needed to be financialy stable here in the USA for the time when he came. To provide food and a place to live. So I hung in and waited for the AP to clear (but did get very depressed as others here would confirm). I am glad I did. It would have been much harder for my husband and I to come back at the same time. Then for me to look for work and an apartment while he could not (since he has to wait for his social security card).

Think about it before you do anything.

Tina
