So today I received my first NOA for my I-130, I-485, and I-765.

I have a few questions that I need to get answered.

1. How long does it take from the first NOA till the I-765 gets approved and my EAD card gets here (rough estimate would be greatly appreciated).

2. I heard from a few sources that after I receive my Work Authorization Card that I can take it, along with the receipt notice of my I-485 and file for a SSN ? Is that true? If thats not the case, how will I go about receiving that SSN, I want to get my drivers license ASAP.

3. In the I-485 NOA, there was a A# listed for me. Can I use that number and put it on my college application or will that cause any problems? (it's for in-state tuition purposes)

About 90 days, but it could be longer. Also depends if you get an RFE, then techncally the clock stops and the 90 days start again after you send the response to the RFE.

Theoretically it should work, but you need to research how this works in your state. The Social Security Administration is notoriously inconsistent across various states, so you might have to make a trip to the SSN office to inquire.

Never heard of the need to put down the A# for the college application. The A# is mostly for USCIS use and immigration purposes, why should a college need that info? But maybe someone more knowledgeable would know.

Please fill in your timeline, it helps us all. Also, it looks like you're adjusting status from a visa other than K1/K3, so check out the sub-forum Adjustment of Status from Work, Student, & Tourist Visas. Maybe posting your questions there would be helpful.
