After a year and change, someone must have disreagred the DO NO TOUCH sign on the box that held our case file. And rather than putting it back into that dusty box, it seem that they just approved it.

Dog,

You don't suppose your wife's naturalization petition triggered the approval?

Can you do that? Apply for natz before the 751 is approved?

Yes, and it will force a decision on the I-751.

My wife went to Newark USCIS to get a stamp in her passport and they took her green card away. I don't have photocopies of the back so I don't think we'll be able to file her N-400 in Oct, will we?

Just photocopy the stamp - good enough, I think.

Hmm. Doesn't hurt to try, right? The worst thing possible outcome is an RFE!

Sorry Dog - didn't mean to hijack your thread :jest:

Yep. RFEs don't usually delay things too much - still better than waiting for the approval of the I-751 petition.

Not likely unless they can see into the future. We haven't filed the N-400 yet. Will do soon but ever since filing the I-751 when we did (earliest date possible) caused this long wait - we would have been done long ago had we just taken it easier and filed two weeks later- I'm in no hurry with this stuff.

Suh-weet! Glad you finally got approved after such a long wait. We're in the same boat as you. We also filed at TSC so we'll be waiting a while. It's going on 7 months for us. Which isn't nearly as long as you waited but I figure Javi's naturalization will trigger them to approve his I-751 also.

Just couldn't stay my @ss away!

I think it's completely random. I filed at the last possible moment (2 days before the deadline) but it didn't make the process go any faster.

There was a small window for filers at the TSC in July / Aug last year where applications were passed to the CSC and processed / approved within a matter of 6-10 weeks.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).
