Hi everyone,

I had my interview today in Houston. As far as interviews go, it was quite painless. Rather anti-climatic really. Anyway we got called in by a stern looking but nice guy, and the strange thing is that he never swore us in. He didn't ask the Yes/No questions either. He asked my husband how we met and asked for proof of a bona fide relationship. He then issued an RFE for my husband's (USC) G-325A, which apparently our lawyer never submitted *rolls eyes*. He told us to mail it in and returned my passport and EAD. That was it.

I wanted to remind him to ask me the Yes/No questions.

My problem is I'm worried that since he did not swear us in, he had already made up his mind to deny us since he returned my EAD. My husband says that he was just tired cause we were the last couple to be called in before lunch, and the IO just wanted to be done with us...lol.

What do you guys think??

That's strange

He may have just been tired like you said. If he asked how you met then he was supposed to at least swear you in. If you were denied he wouldn't go thru the trouble of asking for more forms either (I would think).

I expect there's no decision and you may have another interview scheduled after you return the G325a. The best time to clarify things is to just ask the status before you leave the interview.

I really hope there isn't another interview. The stress of this one nearly drove me crazy. Our lawyer assured us everything was ok, and she stayed behind to speak to the IO after we left. I guess I just have to wait to hear from her. I wanted to ask the status, but I was too nervous to.

What type of visa did you enter on? USC submits a G-325A with the I-130 or I-129F petition for K or CR-1/IR-1 visa, not with I-485 so asking for one for AOS is unusual. If you adjusted from an other visa type, then yes USC should have included one with the required I-130.

Also you are AOS Pending, not N/A as your profile shows. http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...rCP&CODE=01

It could also be that once he saw you together he realized that you do have a legitimate marriage and there wasn't a need to continue with questions, that once the missing document is submitted your application will be approved. You did swear on the written submission that all of the information is true and accurate so it isn't a biggie. When I had my K-1 interview I was never sworn in nor asked the yes/no questions either.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

We also have our AOS interview in houston tomorrow morning........ anyway, I have a set of g-325a forms I filled out the same time my wife filled her's out when we were preparing her AOS package, then I realized the directions did not ask for the G-325a forms for the applicant's spouse so we did not include mine in the application packet. Looks like I better bring them along just in case. Do you know what packet you filed that they say did not include your husbands G-325a forms, because I am pretty sure they were not required with the AOS packet, anyone sure about this? Dave & Diep

I'm not sure what package it was. The IO just flipped through all our paperwork a bunch of times, before asking for the missing form. I would definately take what you have with you to the interview. Better safe than sorry. The annoying thing is that after we got home, I realised that we had a blank forn in our possession all the while. We could have filled it out right there. Anyway we're gonna overnight it to him today. So hopefully we hear something by the end of the week.

Good luck with your interview.
