Hello to all the VJ's,

Hope all is well to you and you can help me for further questions and hoping someone knows here and can share or tell me what is right to do.

I came here in USA through fiancee visa i already have my greencard with me. We will go home to my home country early next year for our church wedding and baptism for our coming baby soon.

My question are what is right name i gonna put in my plane ticket since my passport is my maiden name and now that i am married my family name is change to my hubby name. Do i use my family name before or my current family name now? I want to use the one that is easy for me and dont have so many questions in the immigration to minimize hassle since we will travel with a little baby with us.

My second quirries are i will be having my baby soon 3-4 weeks from now i need to get her a birthcertificate for her as soon as she is here so that we can process her passport also.

Anyone knows the requirements of having the birth certificate and getting a passport for little baby?

Hope all is well to you VJ's and can help me with my quirries.

Take care and God bless all

You will have less trouble flying with tickets in your maiden name. Bring a copy of your marriage certificate though.

Assuming your child is being born in the US, birth certificate laws very by state/county.

Here in IL we could get my daughters BC after 2 weeks. We took her picture at Walgreens. Then we went to apply for her passport and both parents had to be present. It took 2 weeks to get her passport. I hope that helps. Congrats on your new bundle of joy. Any more questions about traveling with the bsby just ask in baby corner in off topic forum.

Congratulations!!!

Since you have time before your trip, you may want to contact the Philippines Consulate to change your passport name to your married name. For a Chinese passport, I was told they would just add the married name on the observation page. If you don't get the name changed, you would need to get the ticket with the name matching your passport for international travel. My wife traveled out of the US twice now with just her maiden name on her Chinese passport and the airline ticket in her maiden name. I hear many others doing the same with no problems.
