DOIN' THE HAPPY DANCE!!!! We're approved we're approved we're approved!!!!! Both our I-129F and I-130 were approved at the Vermont Service Center this morning!!!! I can't believe it! Now I will update our timeline and scour the site for the next steps!

I'm hoping and praying for the rest of you that you will be approved soon!

Big congrats!

Guys, for those who are getting their I-129F and I-130 done at the same time... How are you planning on proceeding? Doing the CR-1 route looks awfully attractive but I don't want to delay the process much more.

As much as I would like to go the CR-1 route, I think we're going to do the K3 because it will get him here sooner. It appears that for the K3 it will be 2-4 months til the interview and with the CR-1 it will be 4-6 months. Could potentially be a difference of 4 months. I'm not willing to wait any longer than I have to. Yes, the advantages of the CR-1 are appealing, but I miss my husband and I want off of this emotional rollercoaster!

Big congrats!

Guys, for those who are getting their I-129F and I-130 done at the same time... How are you planning on proceeding? Doing the CR-1 route looks awfully attractive but I don't want to delay the process much more.

We're Feb filers and I'm definitely going to pay extra just to have a chance at the CR1 visa. Moscow embassy schedules interviews about 3 months out (or used to) which might give time for CR1 to catch up.

It's a smaller price to pay for not having to pay over a $1000 for AOS later.

I'm just hoping to see that long awaited CRIS email...our received date for I130 is Jan 28th. Nice to see VSC moving along finally.

Congratulations! I'm so happy to see Vermont back to work!

I noticed that the American consulate in Rio is scheduling k3 interviews for about 2 months after they receive the papers. Maybe it's not bad to go for the CR1 route because if you follow the shortcuts we find here on VJ, we can get done at NVC in a lil bit more than 1 month. So if the consulate receive Cr1 papers before the k3 interview it could be for CR1 instead. Well, at least that's what I'm planning to do if I get both my petitions approved on the same day like you did! Lucky you!!

Good morning. My attorney received an e-mail from the consulate in Rio yesterday that said if we go the K3 route it will take about 2 -4 months between the paperwork getting to NVC, then to the consulate in Rio, and then the interview. The consulate schedules the interviews for the K3's. If we go with the CR-1, it will take about 4-6 months for the interview and NVC shedules those interview dates, not the consulate. We'll see how long it takes and whichever one is faster, that's the one we'll go with.
