Question about filling in the I-129F

Question 18 is asking for me to describe the circumstances under which we met. How extensive does this answer need to be? Is something along the lines of "May 5th, 2008, I traveled to Australia by plane and spent approximately 6 weeks at my fiances home until my departure back to the US on June 15th, 2008." sufficient or what more should I be saying?

Thank you!

Different people choose to offer different amounts of information. I did not use a separate page and was able to fill all information, including dates, into the box. Ours mentioned the date and circumstances regarding when we met, and all the times we saw each other after that. Very simple and direct.

Can someone give some examples of what they wrote when the filled in the box and did not use a seperate attachment? I am trying to get a better idea of how much info is sufficient.

Just the facts is all that is needed.... Then your evidence that you supply proves the facts... It is quite simple...

YMMV

All I wrote was "Met in person from Sept.3, 2006 to Sept.10, 2006 after communicating for months over the internet." The dates matched my boarding passes, passport stamps, and hotel receipt. No additional sheet was attached.

Make sure your statement reflected your plane ticket, visa or passport stamped. Simple sentence as the one above here so you can remember it several months down the road when CO ask you. This question came up 90% of the time during the interview. Both you and your fiance(e) need to remember this one so short and concise is the key. Good luck!!!

Yes, that's sufficient. Back it up with passport stamps and boarding passes.
