I miss having a garden. With a small balcony all I have is some mint, parsley and rosemary. Well, it's something.

To those of you up north that planted late..think of all the fresh tomatoes you wil have when we here in the south run out!

Mine is great so far, but idir has 2-3 hours of dental surgery ahead of him this monday. :huh:

Well at least yours is good, that's all that matters!

I kid, I kid. I hope all goes well and I hope they give him some great meds!

I finally took pity on him and stopped going into exaggerated details about dental surgery :devil:

Messages in Dawn's guestbook came from 28 different states! You all are an amazing group.

I am out the door to whack my weeds. I so need to either a. move to an apartment or b. hire someone to cut the damn grass. Come'on WAC approve my man so I don't have to do this #######...hehehe He wont be here til next summer. I better man up and just do it.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Good Morning all. Something seems to be eating the leaves on my veggies in my garden (sniff sniff)

so much for showing my husband my green thumb!!!

07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

The reason for my weed rant.........my city sent me a letter..standard form letter stating they did not like my weeds :blink: uh..this is Illinois. It rains for days then the sun comes out. They grow. Like weeds. It is what they do. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr I have been wacking like crazy and they want more from me. #######.

So I had to call them and say...'ok I did it. It looks nice now.' I feel like a scolded child.

no just that they will charge me $25 and $50 an hour if they have to do it. :blink:

It says You are hereby notified (they take these weeds seriously!) that under authority of Ordinance #27 of the City of Crest Hill you are required to cut and remove the weeds growing on your property. (oh not only do i have to cut them,,i have to remove them) Failure to pay if the City removes the weeds, will result into entering a lien in teh office of the REcorder of Deeds. (dayum)

Good morning everyone.... it is a "good" Monday for me.. Have the day off (well, I have been working all weekend!).

*waves*

Every time I see ur avatar, it appears to be Robin and Batman...thats when I'm just scrolling but then I look over and see what it really is... stumps me every time! lol :lol:

I AM a dork but I accept it.

I woke up with scratchy eyeballs that didn't quit until around 30 minutes ago. My contacts burrrrrrned. I only had 4 hours sleep but am feeling semi-ok for right now.

I went up to the dox office to weigh on their "cattle scale" and I have officially lost 27.60lbs!!! Its not much of a leap from 27 BUT I'm into the 30's which I haven't been for about 10 years!!! It feels GRRRRRRRRRRRREAT!

Amy, I'm thinkin of ya today! good luck. We should chat 2nite.

Another MENA Monday, but ya know despite all the #######, its good to be alive!

After a lot of thought put into death, sickness and shortened lives, I believe I have realized that being angry over small things, replaying regrets in your mind, and rekindling those grudges is just not the way to live.

I hope that from today, we can all be more happy, open with our feelings to avoid future moments of anger, and just let loose and enjoy life a little more. Before its too late.

Well that was food for thought, now some REAL food!

Tammy- I LOVE breakfast for dinner! YUMMY!

Waffles are almost always better than pancakes BUT I hve this wonderful Nigella Lawson recipe for ricotta pancakes which is my all tme favorite!
