Waiting for Packet 4

I feel pretty sad tonight--for the first time since we filed through the CSC back in November. I guess the whole process is starting to get to me...

My fiance is from Australia-we decided that he should wait for approval over there-in order to do things by the book. After the petition left the NVC back in April, I decided to go to Australia and take a leave of absence for a few months.-since I hadn't seen James since November.

I returned to the US on Monday, because I have to work. James is still in Australia waiting for an interview date. (It has been 5 weeks since we sent packet 3). I realize that this is not long in some countries, but it seems as though all of the other Australia filers have already been interviewed and approved who filed after us.

The consulate has not returned my email inquiry about the case....and we are only allowed to correspond with the consulate through email and fax. I have only received an automated response.

We are worried that packet 4 might have gotten lost in the mail?? Our case is pretty straight forward. We have been together for seven years and own a house together! Ugh-I am distressed and feel helpless, which is so unlike me! I have been very positive up until this point and feel like a big baby.

Anyone have advice-or share my misery?

Not sure what state you live in, but you may be able to reach out to you local senators office. I know that sounds silly, but my husband was having similar issues. Our senators office was a great help to us. That's what they are there for. (They were able to get in touch with the someone in Pakistan and "poof" there were his papers.)

In the mean time I would continue to email the consulate. Did you send the packet via DHS?? I wish I was able to help more and perhaps someone else on here may be more of a help. I just wanted to tell you it's going to be ok. Believe it.
